What we collect

When you create a Moto Guard account, we collect your email address and the rider nickname you choose. When you report a hazard, we store the hazard type, its location, an optional description, the time it was reported, and the nickname of the rider who reported it. That's the extent of what we collect — we don't track you beyond what's needed to show hazards on the map while you're using the app.

How we use it

Your data exists to run the safety platform, full stop. Your email and password authenticate your account. Your nickname is shown alongside hazards you report so other riders know a real person flagged it. Hazard reports are shown to other signed-in riders so they can see what's on the road ahead of them. We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything outside of running Moto Guard.

We don't sell or share your data

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Your data stays within Moto Guard, used only to operate the app for you and the riders around you.

Hazard data is user-generated

Every hazard report on Moto Guard is submitted by a rider like you — accidents, potholes, roadblocks, speed cameras, and crime alerts are all crowdsourced from the community, not verified by us before appearing on the map. Use your judgement on the road regardless of what's reported.
